“Chubela has demonstrated that he knows how to stay focused and get better every season. Chubela was a three time state qualifier for Francis Howell High School and did qualified at three different weight classes. As Chubela was able to work his way to the state tournament I‘m looking forward to him developing into a national qualifier for the Trojans!,” said HLG head wrestling Coach Scott Hawes. Steele Signs with HLG Wrestling

Hannibal, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange College Wrestling program is pleased to have signed Artwaun Steele from Kalamazoo, MI. Steele graduated from Loy Norrix High School in May of 2010.
“Even though Artwaun has only been wrestling for a few years he has tremendous potential in being a substantial contributor for us next year. I’ve had wrestlers in the past with similar ability and experience as Artwaun surprise many more experienced wrestlers. They were able to have success because of hard work, desire, and sheer toughness. Steele is naturally a good athlete and at Trojan Wrestling Camp this summer showed that he is tough, works hard, has desire, and picks up technique very quickly. I’m looking forward to seeing Artwaun develop as a college wrestler!,” said HLG head wrestling Coach Scott Hawes. Steele will be wrestling at 149 lbs for the Trojans next season. Steele is undecided in his major at HLG.
Steele is the son of Kanika Steele.
